Time: 5:30 pm

Ages 13 and younger, join us to read to a trained and certified dog! These pooches are visiting courtesy of Love on a Leash. Reading to dogs offers significant benefits for children, boosting reading skills, confidence, and empathy, while reducing stress and anxiety, thanks to the dog's non-judgmental presence; it also helps socialize shelter dogs, making it a win-win for humans and canines alike. It improves reading fluency and attitude, helps shy kids open up, and provides calming interaction by lowering cortisol levels, all while the dog gets quiet companionship.
