November 2016 Newsletter
Stay Up to Date!
We know life gets hectic and there is only so many hours in the day… that is why the library is now offering e-newsletters and e-calendars. If you are too busy to get into the library or you just prefer to have things sent directly to your phone or computer, then sign up for our e-newsletters and e-calendars. The library will personally email you all the information you need to stay up to date with important information and know exactly when events and activities are happening at the library! Also, you can always check out our Facebook page (Van Buren Public Library) and our website (vbpl.lib.in.us) for more in depth information.
We will be offering a teen through adult scrapbooking class after the holidays. This is a 3 week course that will be taught by Annette Lucas. So take as many pictures as you like over the holidays and you’ll be ready for our scrapbooking class! More information will be provided in our December newsletter.
Free Indiana State Park Pass!
The library has a free Indiana State Park Pass that our patrons are welcome to use. This pass is good till December 31, 2016. So call us today and we will provide you with a free pass to the State Park. Note: We only have one pass and it is being shared between our patrons. It is on a first come, first serve basis.
Winter is Coming!
In case you forgot… winter is coming! I know, we dread it too! However, it will be here before you know it. In order to beat the winter blues, we reccommend that you join one of our programs to keep you active throughout the long winter months. We have programs for kids all the way to adults. So join our Adult Book Club or start our Low Impact Adult Exercise class or even just volunteer at the library! The library has plenty of activities to keep you going through the winter. In addition, this year we will be having a winter reading program themed “Chill Out and Read” for kids through adults. So mark your calendars! There will be more information on this as it approaches.
Homebound Delivery Service!
As winter approaches, it can be difficult getting into the library sometimes. So if you are not one to drive out in the elements, then sign up for our homebound delivery service! The library will deliver books, magazines, and DVDs right to your door! This program is FREE to Van Buren Township residents. So call the library today and we will get you signed up!
